Happy New Year! I took a few days off but couldn't stay away for long. Too much to do. I started working on what I am sure will be my biggest transformation thus far. I had these pieces dropped off and couldn't wait to get my hands on them. These kind of things make me giddy!!
What are they you ask?!?!
They are vintage seller cabinets of course.
There is a new retail store opening up in Mariemont. The name of the store is Lolli's. Located across from the Mariemont Inn on Madisonville Rd. It will be an eclectic mix of modern vintage gifts and accessories. The owner Leah has an eye like no other and is constantly collecting ever-evolving finds that will make her store unique and just one more reason to visit the sweet little Village of Mariemont!
These pieces are being upcycled as display cabinets for the store.
They had been painted many, many years ago. The paint was chipping pretty bad. I sanded them down to get off as much of the old paint as I could. Then I sprayed shellac all over to stop the old paint from chipping anymore.
And this is your sneak peak.
Sorry, this is all you get for now. I am of course using chalk paint because I absolutely LOVE this stuff! Leah chose a sassy yet sophisticated deep grey blue that I mixed up. I never truly know how something will look til I am elbow high in paint. I knew these pieces would be great. They were in such bad shape we could only go up. But...I didn't know just how GREAT they would look!
Don't worry, I will show you more when they are all done.
