...Hutch Transformed

I will never get tired of the smile on the face of my happy client when they set sight on the finished product!  The excitement and enthusiasm is one of the many reasons I find so much joy in what I do.  Those close to me know I am sappy:)  I hold onto memories of my childhood that make me smile - my Grandmother's robe hangs on the back of my closet door - I always use the brass candlesticks for holidays that sat on our table every Christmas dinner - my son has the desk that I remember my Grandfather sitting and writing bills at in his room...you get my point.  Sooo, along came this client looking for help.  She wanted to keep her dining set that she ate every holiday dinner at as a child...but the style didn't fit her.

Here is the before of the Hutch.  I don't have pictures of the dining table.

And this is the after.  Painted in a light tan with a tad of grey, heavily distressed and all new hardware.

...A French Provincial Makeover

I absolutely love French Provincial furniture!  I love the curves, and how it looks paired with so many other styles and its just the perfect amount of girly to bring to a room.  It's one of the few styles that can handle almost any color of paint.  Stay neutral and light for more shabby or go bright and fun for more of a modern pop of color.

I always grab these pieces when I find them.  This dresser was up for sale on my "pick your paint" page and got snatched up for a master bedroom.

This piece was painted using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Duck Egg Blue.  The existing hardware was painted and the entire piece was heavily distressed.  This piece was solid and perfect inside with dovetail drawers.  Another piece given New life!

Have a fabulous week!
